“I regard music therapy as a tool of great power in many neurological disorders — Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s — because of its unique capacity to organize or reorganize cerebral function when it has been damaged.”

Oliver Sacks, M.D.

“The Vibe team value the time they spend with people. They will sit for hours with our service users getting to know them and enjoy the experiences they share with them.”

Lead Support Worker (day centre for adults with learning disabilities)

“John communicates both verbally and musically more in music therapy than in an entire week!” Homeroom Teacher, School in N.Wales.

“Music therapy has been positive for John in his current situation, he remembers that he was there last week and is happy to go back for more.” Care Assistant, Dementia specialist setting

The cost of a Music Therapist varies depending on experience, specialism and geography. Typically music therapists charge a rate relative to talking psychotherapists although this can range from £30 to £55 per hour. The scale of the work involved and the number of people involved are also key to us to be able to produce competitive costing . This is just a guide and specific pricing is usually based around half and full day rates.
