Welcome

Hello my name is Greg Hanford and I am the Founder of Vibe Music Therapy. Vibe is a company that is dedicated to servicing people living with disabilities from all walks of life by utilising the clinical practice that is music therapy. We have been working in a variety of settings across the North West of England since 2012 and have many additional years’ experience to offer the healthcare industry in delivering therapeutic interventions to a wide range of people. With a great number of pressures in the sector that are regularly presented in the media, we at Vibe feel that the U.K is currently going through a transition in the way it views healthcare. On the surface and at the core the NHS has become a political entity and while this is much the subject of debate in the mainstream media, how healthcare is delivered to the population is clearly the real issue at hand. The link of cost and quality appears to be ever present and with this perspective we step in to raise the standard of person-centered healthcare. Vibe engages at all levels of healthcare including the NHS and aims to provide a cost/benefit while most importantly increasing the quality of life for people who benefit from the services provided. We will be posting regularly on the issues at the heart of music therapy and the evolution of the field from all perspectives including the general public.

“I regard music therapy as a tool of great power in many neurological disorders — Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s — because of its unique capacity to organize or reorganize cerebral function when it has been damaged.”

Pricing

The cost of a Music Therapist varies depending on experience, specialism and geography. Typically music therapists charge a rate relative to talking psychotherapists although this can range from £30 to £55 per hour. The scale of the work involved and the number of people involved are also key to us to be able to produce competitive costing . This is just a guide and specific pricing is usually based around half and full day rates.

We are currently taking referrals for 2019. Please contact us by email info@musictherapy.co.uk or fill out the form below and we will get back to you promptly.
